This is a bridge of a total length of 3.5 km over the Danube in the northwest Bulgaria, linking the Bulgarian city of Vidin and the Romanian city of Calafat. It includes two double roads and a single-track railway. The access spans are 40-meter long. The scope of works on the non-navigable pass of the Danube is 80m. The work on the navigable pass will consist of three spans extra dossed-braced with a range of 180m. The bridge over the non-navigable channel is formed of 80-metre spans. The bridge over the navigable channel will be constructed of an extradosed-braced structure of 180-meter spans.

The deck is made of prestressed concrete.
